Dewdrop Bend

A small, living pixel-art pond with a full 24-hour sky. Turn the clock hands, plant wildflowers on the banks, watch the bees work and the frogs hop between lily pads, let the rain in from a single cloud button, and collect a field note for every creature you meet.

Vanilla JavaScript and Canvas 2D — no frameworks, no runtime dependencies, no external image or sound files. Every sprite is hand-drawn at 1× and the soundscape is synthesised. The repository is private; this is a demo build.

what's in the pond

A real clock

Drag the hands through dawn, golden hour, dusk and a firefly-lit night. The sun and moon rise behind the ridge, with a real moon phase.

Thirteen creatures

Bees, bumblebees, dragonflies, frogs, tadpoles, striders, fireflies — each with its own sprite, behaviour and a field note to collect.

Plant the banks

Click a terrace to grow poppies, cornflowers or marsh marigolds. Depth-scaled, and the bees find them.

Weather

One cloud button, and the rain samples the real uneven shoreline so the drops land where the water actually is.
