[ivaniliev]

ICT Student at HZ University of Applied Sciences. I build things that run in a browser and do something you can watch — a pond that keeps time, a drift racer with no assets, a racing AI that trains itself, and a workshop of tools for an agent I use every day.

the lab

Half of what I build is private.

A pixel-art surface where a model draws, looks at its own drawing and draws again. A 32×32 creature that lives in the corner of the window. A bell that tells you what a turn cost. The repositories stay closed — the work does not have to.

how it got here

  1. 2012 start

    Telerik Kids Academy

Eight years old and insufferable about wanting to make games, until my parents signed me up for programming classes. It started with C++ and competitive problems.

  2. 2014 school

JavaScript, and a lot of bad games

Moved to the then-new game development course and spent the next years writing small JavaScript games. Most of them live on dead hard drives and USB sticks now.

  3. 2015 school

    The one that survived

A dragon game, committed a few days after the account was made. It is still here, and it is exactly as good as an eleven-year-old’s first repository should be.

  4. 2022 teach

    Mentor at MindHub

Teaching five- to twelve-year-olds Scratch, logic and problem solving — games as the way into algorithmic thinking. I got hooked on this by teenagers who were paid to put up with me; getting to hook a room of kids the same way closed the loop, and it is still the most accomplished I have felt about a job.

  5. 2023 team

C#, .NET and other people’s deadlines

Programming classes in high school, a WPF desktop application and a railway companion app built with classmates — software that had to work for someone who was not me.

  6. 2025 work

    BeaverWize and the steel company

A gamified water-conservation app on a SvelteKit + Express microservice stack, and an NDA Laravel application that replaced spreadsheets for one of the largest steel producers in Europe.

  7. 2026 solo

Games, a pond, an AI and a workshop

driftblock, Dewdrop Bend, ai-f1-racing and the dsh-works plugins — the year the projects stopped being assignments.

I'm in my final stretch at HZ and open to work — an internship, a junior role, or a project that needs a pair of hands. The CV is above; the rest is one click away.
